The V-twin motor should last forever, thanks to a low rev-ceiling and even lower compression, and it’s a Honda, so corrosion shouldn’t be too much of an issue on all but the most neglected examples. What the Deauville lacks in charisma it compensates for, to a degree, with practicality. Performance is fairly modest, handling is typically Honda-neutral and it’s comfortable, even on long journeys.
